Gray (better known as Big Peter to his friends) was born on January 1, 1939, in Magnolia, Arkansas to his parents Mattie Stephens and J.T. Gray. His passions in life included having a good time, being around good company, listening to good ol' down home blues and gospel. Big Peter was always looking for a game of chance whether it was dominos or poker. He especially loved playing poker when there was a chance for monetary gain. Celebrating his life and cherishing his memory is his daughter Jeanetta Rembert and her mother Cathy, five grandchildren, Devon, Destiny, Ty'Shawn, Da'Shawn and Aniree, former wife- Ceola Hudson, two Aunts, Dorothy Barnett of Las Vegas, NV, Velma Stephens of Wilmington, CA, four nephews Tommy Lewis (Aletheia) of La Puente, Andrew Lewis Jr. (Carolyn) Long Beach, Donald Ray Lewis (Shelly) Sacramento and Anthony Charles Lewis of San Francisco. A host of great nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of cousins and friends will be left to celebrate and reflect back on his colorful life. Rest and dress that is what he did and the way he lived.
