James Anthony Gallagher

James Anthony Gallagher died peacefully at home in Redondo Beach, CA, on November 12, 2016, at age 63. He was born June 23, 1953, in Boston, MA. Jim is survived by his partner of 40 years, Gary William Jung, siblings, Claire Gallagher Lopes, Stephen Gallagher (& Marcia Powers), Joseph Gallagher (& Linda Kessler), niece Mary Margaret Lopes and nephews, Timothy Lopes, Casey Gallagher, as well as by Steven Jung (& Lois Barnes), Darrelyn Jung Dunmore (& Steve), Carolyn Jung Cook (& Brent), and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Kay Gallagher of Arlington, MA. Jim graduated from Arlington High School, and University in San Francisco and Daytona Beach. He lived and worked in TX, OK, MA, FL and CA. He loved all music, especially classical music, opera, reading and travel. We loved his humor. We loved him. We will miss him. Inurnment will be 1pm on November 19, 2016 at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James Catholic Church, attn: Rev. Msgr.
