James Dina

James Richard Dina Sr, of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, passed away peacefully at his home on May 1, 2022 at the age of 89.

James was born on February 4, 1933 to Vincenzo James and Marie Dina in New York City, New York. After graduating early from high school, he went on to what was to become his lifelong career of working for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines at New York Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for 40 years. Being an ‘Airline Guy” Jim traveled to many parts of the world and had many positive adventures. After which, he retired and enjoyed traveling & spending time with his family and his Golden Retriever rescues. He could be often found sitting at his kitchen table with his Golden Retriever Coco, puffing on his cigar, watching his favorite team the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his children, daughter Yvonne Dina, son James Dina Jr and daughter-in-law Val Dina, daughter Jeanine Dina and daughter Doreen Dina. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Gabriella Cau, Michela Cau and Madison Dina. As per his wishes his ashes will be spread nearby in the Pacific Ocean with the ashes of his Golden Retrievers; Shadow, Simba, Tina & Blondie.
