Jacquelyn Eisenhut, age 82 passed away on Thursday July 14, 2022 in her home of many
years in Torrance, California.
She was born in Wilshire, Ohio on May 4, 1940 to Harry and Nina (Eichar) Brown. She
married Dennis Eisenhut on September 4, 1960 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They moved to
California in 1964 and settled in Torrance in 1967.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, a daughter, Debra (Scott) Whitcomb, Allen
Texas; two sons, David Eisenhut, Torrance, Calif.; Daniel (Angela) Eisenhut, Hartland Wisconsin;
a sister Pamela (Brown) George, Fort Wayne Indiana and four grandchildren, Jennifer,
Melissa, Trenton, and Zoe.
Jacquie was a loving wife/mother, friend, professional hair stylist and an avid grower of
African violets and many other kinds of gesneriads. She was a very active member and
past president of the South Coast African Violet and Gesneriad Society. She was also a
master judge for violet shows and conventions. Her other hobbies included a love of
sewing, photography and genealogical research.
