Jack Dillon was 75 years old. Born June 22nd, 1938 and passed away September 17th, 2013. Born and raised in San Pedro and Wilmington, CA. Died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his father Jack, uncles: Frank, Bobby, Chickie, and Billy; aunts: Blanch, Edith, Juanita, and Violet. Survived by his wife Vera (Red) of 40 years, daughter Jaimie (John) Demonte, sons: Joe Dillon (Lisa Pinel), Michael (Rachelle) Dillon. Five grandsons: John, Raymond (Eva), Casey, Benjamin, and Wyatt. Three granddaughters: Sunshine, Caitlin, and Kiley. Two great grandsons: Ray-Ray and Connor. Also, survived by his loving mother Betty (Peter) Nubile, Sister Donna (Lou) Giacchetti and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was a retired member of ILWU, where he worked for 47 years in both Local 13 and Local 63. He served as a Business Agent and Secretary/Treasurer for Local 13. He was an active ILWU Pensioner for 10 years and a proud member of the Executive Board and Memorial Association. Services at Green Hills Chapel. Viewing Monday, September 23rd 5 – 9 pm.
