Irene Juanita Duarte

Irene J. Duarte passed away on Sunday June 25th, 2023 at the age of 78. She fought a hard battle with septic shock and was surrounded by her family when she passed. She was born in Torrance, CA on June 14, 1945 and was a lifetime resident of Torrance. She attended Narbonne High School and went on to marry Henry Duarte on July 14th, 1962. Irene spent her life being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and auntie. She loved to bake, she was known for her incredible cookies, cakes, pies and breads. She loved to travel and enjoyed many fun trips with her husband and friends. Henry and Irene were married just shy of 62 years and had a lifetime of joy raising their children and grandchildren. She was truly the epitome of beauty, love and kindness.

Irene is survived by her husband, Henry Duarte, 2 children, son Henry Duarte Jr. and daughter, Charlene Duarte- Brannstrom, daughter in law, Daina Duarte, daughter in law, Camilla Duarte-Brannstrom, 4 grandchildren, Julian Duarte, Ruth, Markus and Grete Duarte-Brannstrom, brother Charles Delgadillo, and preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Charlotte Delgadillo and brother, Louis Delgadillo Jr..

Visitation will be held on July 14th 5pm-8pm at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes, Funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Lomita, CA at 10am July 15th, graveside interment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

She will be dearly missed by those who knew her, her vibrant, kind spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends will forever be cherished.
