Iola Z. Rooney

Iola Rooney passed away Monday June 6 at the age of 88. She was a resident in the New Horizons senior complex in Torrance and was a South Bay resident for over 60 years. She was an active member of Jubilee Fellowship in Torrance. She was active in the Torrance YMCA and Women's Aglow International. Iola traveled with missions groups to Russia, Africa, and China. She worked for almost 30 years for Carpenter's Bible Bookstore (now Family Christian Bookstore). Iola is survived by sister Florence, 3 adult children, 5 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Viewing is Thursday June 9 from 3 – 8 PM. Interment service at Green Hills Cemetery Friday June 10 at 9 AM. Homegoing Celebration at Jubilee Fellowship, 18015 Prairie Avenue, Torrance CA 90504, on Friday June 10 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please send missionary offering to Jubilee Fellowship.
