Insang Won

Insang G. Won, 82, died Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Providence Little Company of Mary Sub-Acute Care facility in San Pedro, CA, 4+ years after a debilitating accident. He passed quietly and peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

A resident of Los Angeles County since 1982, Insang was a graduate of Seoul National University in South Korea, where he studied economics and business. It was his background in business, and his excellent command of the English language that led to a position with the Korea Trade Promotion Center, and eventually a posting to their New York office. He was an avid golfer, a devoted fan of Korean dramas, and an accomplished world traveler. He leaves behind his wife of more than 57 years, Naksun, and his children, Hijoung, Justin, and Hisun, as well as 4 grandchildren.

A memorial celebration will be held on May 17 at Green Hills Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest.
