Imelda Cendejas Murillo

Imelda Cendejas Murillo, born to Jose Cendejas and Nicolasa Catalina Chavez on June 18, 1948, passed away surrounded by her family on Satuday, January 4, 2020 at the age of 71. Imelda was born in Purépero, Michoacán, Mexico. In 1961, at the age of 13, she immigrated with her family to Los Gatos, California.

Imelda was married to Jose Rico Murillo for 40 years until Jose passed away in August 2007. They lived in La Rambla neighborhood of San Pedro, California where they had 3 children.

Imelda loved music, especially dancing and singing. She loved being around and talking to people, always with a smile on her face. However, her true happiness was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, always being there for her family. She enjoyed spending time in her rose garden and the simple things that life had to offer.

Imelda is survived by her children Patricia, Juan and Hector; her grandchildren Chanel, Jovan, Julian, Kiara, Elijah, and Amelia; her great grand children Jayla, Gracie, and Lexi; her siblings Audelia, Eloisa, Jose, and Rosa; and an endless amount of family and friends.
