Howard M. Yanagawa

Howard, the son of Kakuichi and Ayame Yanagawa was born February 13, 1933 in Holualoa, Hawaii and passed away peacefully on July 14, 2012 with his family by his side in Torrance, California. Howard is survived by Grace, the love of his life and wife of 49 years; his two devoted children, Derrick Yanagawa, Candace Yoshida and husband, Roland; three grandchildren, Kayla, Jared and Kyle Yoshida; three siblings, Robert (Nancy) and Gilbert (Betty) Yanagawa and Betty Tatum; and sister-in-law, Margo Yanagawa. He also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives. Preceding him in death are his brother, Raymond Yanagawa and bother-in-law, Bill Tatum. His joyful Aloha spirit will be deeply missed by all and never forgotten. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26th, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Inglewood, 600 W. Queen St., Inglewood, CA 90301. The family will have a private internment the following day.
