With sadness, we announce the passing of Hiromi "Ann" Yamasaki on August 31, 2014 at the age of 88 years old; beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. Born September 13, 1925 to Iwajiro and Yoshiye Tsuji, Ann was the fourth of six children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hiroshi. She is survived by son, Ron (Annie) Yamasaki, daughter Gay (Norman) Kato, son, Robert (Barbara) Yamasaki, grandchildren, Shel (Lori) Nakayama, Faith Kato, Tyler (Grace) Yamasaki, Wendy Kato, Jocelyn Yamasaki, Warren Kato, Sarah Yamasaki, Rhys Yamasaki, sisters Mari Nitake and Diane(Jerry) Giambeluca. Ann was a kind hearted person who helped others and always spoke kindly of everyone. She enjoyed meeting and talking with people. She always shared stories of growing up on the farm, living through the trials of internment camp in Rohwer, Arkansas, life in Seabrook, New Jersey, and returning to Los Angeles. She enriched our lives for which we will be forever grateful.
