Hilda Rose Resich

Hilda was born in Hoquiam, Washington, on November 4, 1924, where she lived with her parents, Bob and Mary Morris and older sister Angie (Devlahovich) until she was 8 years old. At that time the family moved to San Pedro. Hilda graduated from San Pedro High School in 1942. Hilda married John Resich, Sr. on April 28, 1946. They spent 60 years together until his death in March of 2007. Her father and mother, Bob and Mary Morris predeceased her. Hilda is survived by her loving son, John Resich and his wife Shirley, their children Melissa Resich, Rebecca Frederick, husband Jaron and Nicholas Resich, wife Meghan, along with seven great grandchildren; Cora Frederick (10), Caden Resich (7), Abby Frederick (7), Dempsey Resich (5), Anna Frederick (4), Sullivan Resich (4), Hatton Resich (1), her sister, Angie Devlahovich, nephew Vince Devlahovich, wife Laurie and family, niece, Susan Krutman (Devlahovich), husband Tom. Hilda was a long time member of the San Pedro- Peninsula Assistance League and the Holy Trinity Booster Club. Together with her husband, she owned Marina Liquor in San Pedro, specializing in the sale of California Wines. Hilda and John were members of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Universal Order of the Knights of the Vine to encourage interest in the growing California wine industry. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Sisters of the Presentation Center, 19480 Bear Creek Rd., Los Gatos, CA 95033-9519. Visitation will be held on the evening of April 5, 2013 from 3-8 pm at Green Hills Mortuary. Celebration mass will be held on April 6, 2013 at St. John Fisher in Rancho Palos Verdes at 2pm with burial immediately following at Green Hills Memorial Park.
