Herman Puerta

Herman Puerta passed away peacefully on Dec. 4, 2014 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in San Pedro. He was born to Herman and Helen Puerta in Van Houten, New Mexico in 1937. He is survived by his children Ronald, Sheila (Pat) Gabel and Timothy, grandchildren Anthony and Caden, sisters Inez (Les) Sullivan and Mary (Allan) Moore and sister-in-law Mary Puerta, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Roger in 2013. Herman was hired as an ILWU longshoreman in 1957 and retired in 2004 after 47 years. He loved to travel, play golf, cook and spend time with his family and friends. Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel at 1:00 p.m in Rancho Palos Verdes.
