Helene Marhefka

Helene J. Marhefka , aged 90, passed away February 22, 2021. She was born in Binghamton, New York and has lived in California since 1973.

She was an active and beloved member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church. Involved in many prayer groups and supported several organizations. Her favorite saying was “God is good all the time, All the time God is good!”
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward of 58 years of marriage and daughters Sharon (Brown) and Lisa (Patterson). Survived by children, Gary and Sandy Marhefka (daughter-in-law) of Sun City West, AZ, Roberta
Marhefka of Lomita, CA, Audrey Matias of Windsor, NY, and Helene Slavenski of Medford OR. Also survived by her sisters Jean Coolbaugh of San Antonio and Joan Evans of Binghamton, NY. Predeceased by her brothers Richard and Robert Chanecka and sister Paulette (Nowak). She has 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren from coast to coast.

Funeral services will be held on March 23rd. 2021 at St John Fisher in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City following the funeral Mass. Donations can be sent in lieu of flowers to “St. John Fisher AGAPE ministry” ATTN: Misty Jesse
