Helen Quinn

Helen Quinn, the daughter of Pasquale and Ethel Stellato, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born on August 17, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts and had been a long time resident of Palos Verdes Estates, California. Helen had many interests. She was an avid reader and loved to travel, play bridge, and play tennis. Her talent in the kitchen was enjoyed by all who partook of her creations. She was active in her community and served as president of Las Madrecitas from 1973-74. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family and friends. On a blind date at Crane's Beach in 1947, Helen won the heart of her future husband with a picnic lunch that featured peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last December. Helen is survived and missed by her loving husband, Richard Quinn; children, Richard "Rick" Quinn, Jr. and Patricia (Tris) Perez; grandsons, Jesse Allen and Nathan Allen; and great-grandson, Wyatt Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association.
