Helen went home to be with the Lord early on Sat., Oct. 29 at 90 years of age. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to San Pedro with her parents and sister, Margaret, in 1926. Helen attended Cabrillo Street School and graduated from San Pedro High School in 1939. She met her husband, Robert Paul, on the ferry to Terminal Island and they were married in 1941. She is survived by her 3 children: Chris(Marcia)Paul, Jim(Debbie)Paul, and Pamela Turba. Her grandchildren are: Michelle Becerra, Lisa Valente, Helene Paul, Luke Paul, Peter Turba, and Rebecca Turba. She has 7 great grandchildren. Helen was active in the First Baptist Church of San Pedro for many years, and then at Rolling Hills Covenant Church. A graveside service will be held in Green Hills Memorial Park at 12noon, with a memorial service to follow at 1pm at Rolling Hills Covenant Church on Monday, Nov. 7.
