Hector Rodriguez Moreno

Hector Moreno Rodriguez, known to many as Quito, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, with his daughter María (Lupe) and son-in-law Carlos by his side.

He is survived by his children, María (Lupe), Susie, and Manuel; his son-in-law Carlos; his grandchildren Cristina, Cindy, and Cesar; and his great-grandchildren Charlie and Jasper.

Originally from Mexico, Hector immigrated to the U.S. and spent 50 years in Torrance, where he built a loving family with his wife. A skilled auto painter, he took pride in customizing cars for Hollywood stars in his early years.

Hector was a devoted family man who loved watching his grandchildren play sports, cheering on the Dodgers, and following FIFA and the U.S. Olympic team. In retirement, he enjoyed long walks around Torrance and sharing stories with friends at local parks.

Services to honor his memory will be held at Green Hills Cemetery March 15th @2pm.
