Hector Ignacio Cruz

Hector Ignacio Cruz, born on July 26, 1960, in Manila, Philippines, bid farewell to this world on May 16, 2023. He reunites with his beloved parents, Hilario and Florencia Cruz, in the eternal embrace. Hector leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his cherished wife, Elo Cruz, their sons, Hilgard and Hero Cruz, and their daughters-in-law, Jojo and Pheigh. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Axel and Sadie, and his sisters, Zita, Berna, and Patty.

Hector completed his high school education at Notre Dame of Greater Manila and graduated college from Polytechnic University of the Philippines. In his twenties, he embarked on a new chapter in the United States, reconnecting with Elo and creating a loving family. Throughout his life, he contributed to various fields, working in the hotel business, accounting, and the refinery industry.

Hector’s actions spoke volumes. He dedicated himself to supporting his family and showing up for his friends. He demonstrated generosity towards his neighbors and community, and was actively engaged in leadership and organizational roles. A devoted Freemason, Hector embraced and lived by the principles of the brotherhood.

Sports held a special place in his heart, and he reveled in being a fan of the Lakers, Rams, and Notre Dame. At home, Hector was meticulous, organized, and loved to decorate. At every gathering, he was the life of the party, spreading joy through his infectious laughter and captivating dance moves; he had a great ability to bring smiles to people's faces.

Today, as we bid farewell to Hector Ignacio Cruz, let us remember his spirit of love, happiness, and unwavering support for his family and friends. His memory will forever be treasured by all those whose lives he touched.
