Hazel Catherine Di Santo

Hazel Catherine Di Santo, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Rancho Palos Verdes on April 10, 2014. Hazel was the first of seven children born to Fred and Rosalie Johnson in Schoolfield, Virginia on November 28, 1923. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Pat, in 2004. She is survived by her children: daughter, Rose Marie, sons Tony and Joe and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Randolph, her brother Steve Johnson and many nieces and nephews.

She resided in California for 70 years, where she raised her family, worked for Arden Farms, Mattel Toys and various family businesses. She was also active with the Girl Scouts of America for many years as a Mariner troop leader. Her greatest joy however, came from caring for her family and the many friends she made during her life.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 4:00pm in Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes. A reception will follow at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes.
