Harry L. F. Kau, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on March 30th, 2015 at the age of 84. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 16, 1930. After serving his country in the First Battalion, 298th Infantry Regiment of the Hawaii National Guard, he relocated to Southern California in 1957 to seek new opportunities and build long lasting friendships. It is here he met Dolores and they were soon married and shortly after started a family. His greatest pleasures throughout his life were family, friends, cars, martial arts, fishing and a genuine care of helping people. A man of many talents, he started his own business of 35 years in home construction and remodeling. In the later part of his life, he continued to pursue his passion for fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren, brothers and sister and many friends. He will be missed deeply, but will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who love him. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Kau; children, Glen (Grace) Kau, Kathleen (Lance Hama) Kau, Cheryleen Kau, Su-Lin (Dennis) Gray; grandchildren Jake Kau, Collin, Loyal, Kenzie and Cassidy Gray; brother Leong Jean of Hawaii; brother Leon (Josephine) Kau of South Carolina; sister Alice Thursten of Hawaii; brother Donald (Mary) Kau of Tennessee; brother Joseph (Marie) of Hawaii; also survived by many other relatives here and in Hawaii. Services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Chapel, 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes on April 11th at 9:00am. Casual "Aloha" attire is preferred.
