Hannah Alexander passed away in her home on May 29, 2011 at the age of 93. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother.
All who knew Hannah appreciated her optimistic outlook on life, and loved her infectious laugh and ever present smile.
Hannah proudly lived her entire life in Southern California. She was raised with her two sisters on a dairy farm in the heart of Los Angeles. She married Ray Alexander in 1940 from her hospital bed. Appendicitis couldn't stop love! After Ray came home from the war, they started their family having two boys.
She enjoyed her extensive travels as well as a love for golf and fishing. Hannah loved to socialize and meet new people, while enjoying a vodka martini from time to time. In her early life, she was active in the women's auxiliary of the Lion's Club and Eastern Star. Later, she became fascinated with birds and loved to watch them from her favorite chair at home.
Hannah is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ray, and her sister Sally. She is survived by her sister Rose, and her two sons, Cary (Sharyn) and Dr. Thomas (Mary Kay), 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Trinity Care Hospice Foundation, who so gently helped tend to her in her final days.
