Gregorita Maria Martinez

Gregorita Martinez (Grace), age 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday March 31, 2023. Grace was born in San Juan, New Mexico. Her family then moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico after the loss of her father. She married Jose Martinez in 1951, and in 1955 they moved to southern California settling in the south bay where Grace lived for seventy years.

Grace was the matriarch of a large family, comprising of eight children, fourteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren; with two more due to arrive in 2023. Her life centered around raising her children, and in later years she focused on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed warm relationships with every one of her family members.

Grace was a committed and active member of Holy Trinity Church since 1966. She was involved in Legion of Mary and many other church ministries.

Grace is pre-deceased by her husband Jose; her sons John, Daniel, and David, and her daughter Jane. Surviving Grace are her daughters Laura, Patricia George, Teresa (Pete) Hernandez, and Victoria, and daughter-in-law Debra. She is also survived by many family members, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Romie, and brother Juan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
