Graciela Ponce De Leon

Graciela Ponce De Leon, lovingly known as Gracie to all, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday April 14,2023 at her home in Wilmington CA. Gracie was born in Anapra, NM on September 20, 1952. The oldest of eight children, she is survived by four sisters and three brothers. On September 18, 1971, she married the love of her life Adolfo “Fito” Ponce De Leon. She loved taking care of her husband Fito, by keeping their home clean, making their family meals, and loving raising their children. She enjoyed going shopping, reading, watching scary movies, to amusement parks and on family vacations. Together Gracie and Fito had five children Denise Jimenez, Adolfo “Fito” Ponce De Leon, Erin Ayala, Erica Ponce De Leon, and Nancy Ponce De Leon. She was a very supportive mother devoting her time and energy to her children’s various activities and helping take care of her grandchildren. Gracie loved being a grandma to her ten grandchildren, she enjoyed seeing them play sports, at dance recitals, watching them in parades, and performing during half-time performances at her Alma Mater Banning High School. Gracie will be greatly missed by all whose lives she has touched. We know that she will always guide us from the heavens above and will be forever in our hearts.
