Grace Louise Rubio

Grace Louise Rubio, the daughter of Herman and Freda Hargett, passed away on February 10, 2017 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janice Ford. Grace was born on May 21, 1934 in Long Beach, California and married Luis in 1954; they lived in Carson for almost 50 years and recently moved to Long Beach to be closer to their girls. Grace was a homemaker who loved to travel and spend time with her many friends and family. Grace is survived by her husband of 62 years, Luis Rubio; 2 daughters, Diane Swims and Debbie Karmelich; and 4 grandchildren, Brian and Matt Swims and Christopher and Jennifer Karmelich. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Green Hills Mortuary from 4 – 8pm. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 1pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro; internment immediately following at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
