Gordon Millman was born in Los Angeles to Ben Millman and Esther Millman. He lived in Southern California all of his life. Gordon was a marine machinist by trade but he loved to build and repair all manner of structures. His greatest project was the Ayres "Castle" on Peck Ave. which he and his wife Barbara purchased in the 1970's. He spent 40 years remodeling it until his poor health caused him to hire professionals to finish the work. Gordon, Barbara and son David loved to travel. They took cruises to Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii. They visited National and State Parks up the coast to Washington and into Canada. Later in life Gordon took up painting. He, and his brother Joe, could be seen each week visiting local parks and beaches where they painted the magnificent San Pedro scenery. Gordon's work was on display from time to time in local venues. Gordon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara, his son David, his brothers Paul (Judy) and Joe (Sheila), and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 27th at noon at the Green Hills Cemetery.
