Gordon W. Hanson

Gordon W. Hanson passed away March 12, 2012 with family members at his bedside. He and his wife of 65 years, Thelma Wynn Hanson who predeceased him were long-time residents of Long Beach, California where they raised three daughters, Jill (Ray Lee) of Palm Desert, Judy (Robert Wood) of Long Beach and Janet (Scott Wierenga) of Everett, Washington. He was born February 22, 1920, the youngest of 13 children of Arnold and Fina Hanson and is survived by his sister Ruby Gronningen (98) of Oakland, Ca. He was born and raised on the family farm in Minnesota and at the age of 20 came to California. Along with his three daughters, he leaves 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Jason Jeralds (Tera), Julia and Jackson, Stephen Wood (Denise), Brooke and Spencer, Matthew Wood (Angela) Bronwyn and Niko, Kathryn Wood Crawford (Scott), Madison, Kelsey and Macaine. His final resting place is next to his wife at Green Hills Memorial Park.
