The world’s light got a little dimmer on Tuesday, June 14th with the loss of our beloved Mother, Gloria Jezin, a life-long resident of San Pedro. Heaven gained a true angel who is now resting pain-free with Jesus Christ. After a four year battle with health issues, she passed peacefully with her children by her side holding her hand. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her was touched by her genuine interest in them, care, kindness and sense of humor. She was always up for an adventure and had a zest for life that could make anyone want to take the ride with her. As a child she was fearless and daring, a free spirit. One of her favorite things to do was listen to music and dance and we are comforted knowing that she can now do that again in heaven. She graduated from San Pedro High School in 1965 and was involved in putting on her school reunions which she loved to do. Her beauty and kindness landed her amongst the Homecoming Court as a Princess. She was a huge baseball fan and always cheering on the Dodgers. She would love to call us and let us know when they were playing on TV. She embodied what it meant to let things be and let the Lord be in control of life. Therefore, she was always happy and never let the small things get to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Josefina Sanchez and brother-in-law Pancho Morales and is survived by her loving ex-husband Anthony Jezin, children Vanessa, Michael (Mandy) and Adrianne, her beloved grandchildren, Maya and Michael, her sister Yolanda Morales and brother Robert (Anna) Sanchez and several nieces, great nieces and nephew and cousins. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11:30 am, with an interment at Green Hills Memorial Park. Vigil Service will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Green Hills Mortuary with visitation from 4:30 – 8:30 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm.
