Gilbert Acevedo, Sr.

Gilbert Acevedo Sr., the son of Frank and Antonia Acevedo Sr., passed away on August 18, 2014 at the age of 84. He was born on March 30, 1930, worked in the Aerospace industry, and was a longtime resident of Hawthorne, California. Gilbert is preceded in death by his grandson, Fernando Hillman. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Helen Acevedo; children, Linda (Ken) Hillman, Gilbert (Alicia) Acevedo Jr., Lucy (Victor) Pages, Robert Acevedo; grandchildren, Lisa Marquez, Nicole Pages, Gilbert Acevedo III, Sarah Acevedo, Victor Hugo Pages Jr., Robert Acevedo Jr., Armando Acevedo, Samantha Acevedo; great-grandchildren, Justin Marquez, Jordan Marquez, Noah Brenenstahl, Gina Hillman, Robby Acevedo, Joshua Fernandez, Melody Acevedo, Sokha Acevedo, Max Acosta, Rocco Acevedo, and Knox Acevedo; and siblings, Bertha, Viola, Margie, and Leonard. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014 in The Cove at Green Hills Mortuary from 3 pm - 8 pm. Funeral service will be Friday, August 22, 2014, 3:00 PM at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with interment to follow.
