Gilbert took a lot of joy and comfort handcrafting projects for the family, especially for his children and grandchildren which came as no surprise as he also enjoyed multiple art projects having such an amazing and talent at Art where that seemed to pass along to his children.
One of his favorite crafts especially was doing woodworking projects for the family and especially his children and grandchildren from Christmas displays to wooden toys to knick knacks.
Gilbert took an early lead in life joining the Army then worked several jobs until he landed his long lasting career at Papermate where he started as a machinist and retired as a chemical buyer.
One of his later passions in life was his Harley in which he would ride that anywhere and everywhere he could going for scenic and adventurous rides with his long time companion Roger.
Though Gilbert had various loves and likes throughout his life, one thing that always remained consistent with him was his love for his family and being around him including his pets and pets of his children. He always felt that family, both human and animal, was the heart of a strong family and he would always do his best to support and take care of them no matter what.
Family and friends of Gilbert are invited to share their favorite photos, video memories and heart felt messages on his Tribute page on the Green Hills Mortuary Website.
