Gilbert Raymond Hernandez

Gilbert R. Hernandez, a California native, was born in San Pedro, California on March 10, 1955. He passed away on September 26, 2018, at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his father Max L. Hernandez and mother Aurora M. Hernandez. While attending San Pedro High School he volunteered at Little Company of Mary Star Hospital (in San Pedro) and began an interest in Health Care. He graduated and then attended Harbor Junior College where he applied for and was hired by Kaiser Permanente in Harbor City, California. He worked various jobs in his 42-year career with Kaiser Permanente and concluded as a medical technician in the surgical unit. Gilbert had recently retired in January 2017 and began nurturing personal hobbies such as being an avid coin collector while continuing to enjoy his favorite pastimes, such as going to concerts and enjoying his favorite bands, like the Rolling Stones. Gilbert is survived by his brother Manuel Botello, sister-in-law, Isabel, twin nieces Marissa (Harold), Elizabeth (Miguel) and a grand nephew, Milan.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 27th, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Church in San Pedro. Internment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park
