Gifford George Grobien

Gifford George Grobien passed away on June 6, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born to George and Elsie Grobien in Los Angeles, California, on April 20, 1935, and was a longtime resident of San Pedro, California. He is survived by his wife, Karen Grobien, daughter Kirsten Escobedo (Ramon), of Santa Barbara, son Gifford Grobien (Regina), grandchildren Julianna, Kimberley, Brigitta, Amelia, Cillian, Makrina, and Felicity Grobien, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and granddaughter, Alena Casey (Andrew), and great-grandchildren Anastasia, David, and Laurelin Casey, of Honolulu, Hawaii. He is also survived by his older sister, Sonja Lenz, of St. Helena, California. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of his flower gardens and the ocean, his dedicated love to his wife, Karen, and especially his Christian faith and life. Visitation open to the public will be held 9am – 10am on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church, San Pedro, California. A private service by invitation only will follow at 10:30 and will be live-streamed for public viewing at http://www.facebook.com/watch/trinitysanpedro .
