Gerald H. Strang

Gerald Herbert “Jerry” Strang was born in Pendleton, OR on December 24th, 1947. He was a resident of Long Beach and passed away peacefully at home on January 9th, 2019. Jerry will be greatly missed by family and friends. He served 22 years in the US Navy and was retired from Boeing Industries after serving many years as a maintenance mechanic. He married the love of his life, Billie Jean O’neal, on June 1st, 1974. Jerry was a kind and generous soul, who loved to laugh, play golf, and was a great bowler. He was very active in the Paramount Elks. He is survived by his wife Billie, his step children, Marvin O’neal, Penny O’neal, and Peggy Markow, his grandson Joseph Markow, his 5 sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Both the viewing and Funeral services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. Viewing on Thursday, January 24th 4:30 through 8:30 PM. Funeral Services on Friday, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
