Georgia T. Scocchio

Beloved mother passed away 3/22/2013. Survived by her only child, son Roger Sammie Scocchio along with Candi. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 boys and 1 girl in birth order; Sammie, Melissa and triplets, Roger A., Jo-Nathan and Vincenzo. 2 great grandkids, Noah and Bella and also her beloved niece Pam Wright (Husband, Jerry). She married her true love Sam Scocchio Dec. 21, 1946 and gave birth to Palma Scocchio 10-19-1948 who passed away a very short 22 months later and then gave birth to Roger on Nov. 17, 1950; all were residents of San Pedro. Her true beloved husband, Sam, was a longshoreman for 25 years until his passing in 1972. Son Roger, also a longshoreman for 44 years and continues. He also has the only sons in Scocchio family that will carry the Scocchio name for future generations.Services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Chapel on Good Friday at 11:00 am, March 29, 2013. Before the service, a prayer and candle lighting ceremony will take place during mass and she will be blessed in her Greek name at St. Sophia Greek Cathedral in Los Angeles.
