George M. Saito, the son of Sadataro, and Nobuye Saito, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2014 at the age of 92. He was born on March 13, 1922, and he graduated from Polytechnic High School class of 1939 in Los Angeles, he was interned along with his family to Manazar, California before he joined the army and was a WII Veteran, he served as Pvt Counter Intelligence Corps and after the war was stationed in Japan as a translator, where he met his Wife Kinuko. He was a longtime resident of Wilmington, California and spent the last ten years at Anaheim Healthcare Center, Anaheim, California. He is preceded in death by his wife Kinuko Saito, and siblings, Henry Saito, and Takako Saito. He is survived by his siblings, Otome Nagano and John Saito, and children, Marie Masumoto (Earnest), Mitse Cohodas (Barton), William Saito (Yaeko), Sachi Cracchiolo, Sandra Martinez (Willie), Diana Gustafson (Ken), and Michael Saito (Tom), along with 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
