Born in Wellesley, Massachusetts to Joseph and Wanda Harunkiewicz on September 1, 1931, the longtime Rancho Palos Verdes resident passed away on June 6, 2014. Affectionately known as Dr. George to his patients and friends, he was a dedicated and respected Orthopedic Surgeon practicing in the South Bay for over 40 years. His wit, generosity and kindness will be greatly missed. A loving husband, and devoted father, he is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Kaitlin and Kellie; sister, Anastacia Eccles; and nieces and nephews, Jayne (Kevin) Moore, Wanda Lee Harunk, Steven (Kathy) Harunk, Pete (Cyndi) Harunk, Jan (Wayne) Johnson, Ruthann (Andy) Parker, Dana Harunkiewicz, John Harunkiewicz and Mike (Irene) McCormick.
