Gene is survived by his loving daughters, Allison Tawa Lim and Christen Tawa; former wife, Gayle Tawa; brothers, Thomas and Richard Tawa; and sisters, Margaret Tawa, Louise Rudolph, Setsuko Guillen, and Eileen Nakamura.
