Frederick A. Aranda

Frederick Aranda Sr. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son brother, and friend passed away July 14, 2017 at the age of 66. Fred was born December 24, 1950 in San Pedro, CA rot Arnold and Sally Aranda. He was raised in San Pedro where he played baseball, surfed, and eventually graduated from San Pedro H.S. in 1969. Fred joined the US Marine Corps in 1976 and sever for 2 years with honorable discharge. When he returned he met and fell in love with his wife of 37 years Cathy (Doyel) Aranda, they were married in 1980 and had 2 children, Fred Jr. and Katie.

Fred was a member of the VFW, Elks, and SPHS Boosters Club. He loved spending time with his family and really embraced becoming a Grandpa. Fred loved a good laugh and was always joking around, he always had stories to tell, and whenever there was a party, a USC game on, a vacation, or even a funeral, he would be there.

Fre is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Sally and his grandson, DJ. He is survived by his wife Cathy, son Fred (Jen) Aranda J., daughter, Katie (Alex) Martinez, grandchildren Shane, Francesca, and Troy Martinez, brothers, Andy Aranda and Steve (Kathy) Aranda, sister in law, Jerrie (Steve) Riggs, 16 nephews, 11 nieces, and countless other family members and friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday July 24, 2017 from 3-8pm at Green Hills Mortuary and funeral services on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 11;30am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
