Francisco "Frank" Ramos, Jr. was born January 15, 1941, in Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines. He was fifth among eleven siblings. He graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. On December 19, 1971, he married Edna Cadagat and they had three sons, Francisco "Frankie" Ramos III, Emmanuel and Meff. He worked for an oil company in Saudi Arabia for six years and later migrated to the United States with his family.
A hardworking husband and father, he lived simply and did not ask for much. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports and supported his favorite Los Angeles teams.
His smile was undeniably one of his most notable traits. When greeting him, he always wore that smile which you could feel was genuine and inviting. It was an unwavering feature that one could easily associate with him.
He has three beautiful grandchildren, Leann, Elyssa and Maxwell, whom he loved and cared for most his time after retirement. He would sure they were taken care of, fed, entertained, picked up from school and in the safest of hands.
When given the opportunity, he and Edna would travel with their family. Being able to enjoy a vacation with them was a treasured time. To see different parts of the world was a blessing to experience with his family.
He went home with the Lord on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:45 PM, in Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He was 73 years old.
