Francisco Javier Cervantes, known as “Cisco” entered this world on October 28, 1966. He was born to Belino and Cedelia Cervantes, in Etucuaro, Michoacan, Mexico. Cisco was a joy to be around and his humor would always make everyone smile. He was a happy soul, and left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Francisco Javier beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend unexpectedly departed this world on April 28, 2024, in Wilmington, CA.
Francisco Javier was known as “Pitinimi” by his siblings Jaime, Teresa, Elva, Jose Luis, Conrado, Pedro and Abelino Cervantes. Loving father to his daughters Melanie and Melissa whom were his most valued treasures. His heart overflowed with unconditional love and care for his girls. He will be missed by his daughters, family, relatives and many friends.
The Cervantes-Ixta family left their home in Mexico to start a new life in Wilmington, CA in the early 1970’s. He attended Wilmington Park Elementary School and Wilmington Middle School. In 1985, Francisco Javier graduated from San Pedro High School. Years after the family moved back to Wilmington where he called home.
He stayed active and enjoyed playing various sports but his great passion was Soccer. His love for soccer began at an early age and continued until his adult years. Javier held several jobs working at Northrop Grumman, D.A.S. and T.A.B.C where he made lifelong friendships.
Francisco Javier loved with an open heart, never asking for anything in return. He was always willing to help family and friends during their time of need. His laughter, witty jokes and fond memories will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts forever. He will leave a big void in our hearts.
Eternal rest grant unto Francisco Javier, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
