Francis Robert Gerardi

Francis Robert Gerardi, age 96, of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, passed away on May 20, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, February 12, 1926. At 18, Frank joined the United States Navy in 1944, serving in World War II. He then returned home and earned his Bachelor's degree from Brooklyn Poly Technical Institute in 1951, after which he re-enlisted into the Navy. Upon completion of his time in service, he moved to Los Angeles and earned a Master's degree from UCLA in 1958 and was a member of the IEEE and Sigma Xi. He worked extensively in the area of tele-communications and was a department head at The Aerospace Corporation until his retirement in 1996 at age 70. He was married to his fellow Brooklynite, Mary Jane Gerardi until her death on March 24, 2019. Frank is survived by his two children, Carol Marie Gerardi and Richard Francis Gerardi, his wife, Mary Rose Gerardi, grandson, Matthew Richard Gerardi and his brother, Robert Gerardi.
