Francesca Licciardello

On May 8, 2015 heaven received the most precious gift. Francesca (Carella) Licciardello passed away in the arms of her children and was welcomed by the arms of God. Her spirit will be carried on by her children Michele (Louis) Benfanti, Michael (Kay) Licciardello , Richard Licciardello, grandchildren, Marisa, Francesca, Vincenco, Alexa, brother Angelo Carella , sister Maria Kanon (preceded in death) and her extended family and friends that were blessed to have known her. Francesca was born in San Francisco to Vincenzo and Anna Carella. She grew up in an Italian household filled with love, laughter and plenty of cooking. Francesca married the love of her life Paul (preceded in death) and together they created a lifetime of memories, which included, raising a family, entertaining friends, playing cards, spending summers at the "Italian Village" and her greatest passion, cooking. Francesca took a piece of hearts with her and that void is being filled with the wonderful memories created by our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Love you more Mom. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 15th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Green Hills Mortuary, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at Holy Trinity Church in San Pedro, CA. with a committal ceremony to immediately follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
