Beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Fouad David, 79, passed away on October 18, 2013, at his home in Houston, Texas.
Dr. David was born August 22, 1934, in Cairo, Egypt, to parents Warsia Boctor and Rashed Dawoud Moussa.
He graduated from Cairo University College of Medicine Kasr El Aini in December 1959. He joined the Coptic Hospital in Cairo for 5 years of residency in General Surgery and Urology, and was the Chief Resident for the last 2 years.
He married Iris Fahmy on November 5, 1965 in Cairo Egypt and they moved to Houston, TX in September 1967. Dr. David completed a second residency at Baylor College of Medicine in July 1972. He had a very successful private practice as a Urologist in Houston for 41 years. During those years, he has served his patients with a level of care, skill and compassion that is unsurpassed. His dedication to his profession was immeasurable.
Fouad's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to many. He lived his life with dignity, integrity, bravery, and goodwill. He was a lover of plants, gardens, and Japanese landscape design.
He is survived by his wife, Iris David of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; son, Mark David of Los Angeles, CA, daughter Natalie David and her husband Jeff Litzinger of Rolling Hills, CA; grandchildren Sophia Litzinger, Mark Litzinger and Bella Litzinger of Rolling Hills, CA; brother Fawzy David; his wife Salwa; niece Sandra David; nephew John David; nephew Rodney David; his wife Mariné David and their children Aiyana and Alani; sister Amal Henein; niece Marie Henein and her daughter Amelia Bell; nephew Maurice Henein, his wife Nancy Henein, and their children Daisy, Lewis and Camden; brother Kareem Dawoud; uncle Dawoud Boctor and family (in Egypt). He was preceded in death by his parents Rashed and Warsia Moussa, and his uncle George Boctor (in Egypt).
