Floyd Gerald "Jerry" Strosnider

Born August 2, 1935 in Torrance, the San Pedro resident passed away peacefully on June 23, 2017 surrounded by his family. Jerry spent most of his career in the aerospace industry after serving 3 years in the United States Navy. Many of his friends recall that he owned and operated " Jerry's Burgers & Malts" in the late 1950's and early 1960's on Pacific Avenue. Jerry always made time for his family but it was known to all that his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Jerry's passion was his 1930 Model A and the love of baseball. Jerry was given a gift to work with his hands and he never turned anyone away that needed help. His smile, his warmth and friendship touched many lives and will be truly missed.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife: Dolores May Strosnider, children: Michael (Jill) Strosnider, Diane (Nick) Boskovich and Gerrilynn (Paul) Soto along with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017, 11:30am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with Navy honors to follow in Green Hills Memorial Park. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com .
