Flavio David Chavez

Flavio (David) Chavez 93, beloved resident of San Pedro, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Our Father in Heaven on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Flavio is survived by his son, Leroy Chavez and his wife, Rita; his daughter, Bernice Valdivia and her husband, Steven; his granddaughter, Clorinda and her husband, Michael Molvig, and his great-grandchildren, Lynae and Dylan Molvig; and brother, Ernest Chavez. Flavio is preceded in death by his loving wife and dance partner of 63 years, Paulita "Pauline" Chavez; brother, Prudencio "Paul" Chavez; sisters, Rosela Griego, Kate Tafoya, Isita Montoya, Mary Giron, Pauline Martinez, Mary Ann Griego and Ester Avalos. Flavio retired from Todd Shipyards, San Pedro. Flavio was a devoted parishioner of Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He always embraced everyone he met and was truly loved by all.
