Fern Louise Dillard

Fern Louise Dillard, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2014 at the age of 89 in Pasadena, CA. She was born in the Township of Ridgeland, South Dakota on September 8, 1924 to Absalon and Jessie Rye. She grew up in Mobridge, South Dakota and lived for many years in Torrance, CA and Idyllwild, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Douglas Dillard; son, Timothy Dillard; brothers, Alan Rye and Harold Rye and sisters, Shirley McMillan and Bernice Truman. She is survived by her son David (Debbie) Dillard, two granddaughters,
Allison (Joseph Middleswart) Dillard and Christine (Michael Israel) Dillard, two great-granddaughters, Zoey and Abigail Middleswart, nephew Craig (Joanna) McMillan, and nieces Linda (Pat) Tunis and Patricia (Rey) Braganza.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Torrance, CA. A private burial will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
