F. Irving Walsh, Jr. (Irv) passed away on Tuesday, November 8th at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes after a short bout with cancer.
Irv was born in Plainfield, NJ in 1919. He was a proud graduate of Princeton University with a BS in engineering. Also an enlisted Naval veteran, he served under the famous Arleigh "31 Knot" Burke in Washington, D.C., and then deployed on the battleship Maryland in the Pacific Fleet. He retired as a Lt. Commander in 1946.
While in California since 1969 Irv served in many positions in his community including being president of the Jack Kramer Tennis Club, president of Rolling Hills Board of Realtors and Director of the San Pedro Peninsula Hospital.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Helen, as well his niece Wendy, nephews Skip and Malcolm and grand niece Isabel.
Services will be held Rolling Hills Covenant Church on November 17 at 11:30.
