Evelyn Theodora Sheffield

Evelyn T. Sheffield passed away on May 29, 2023 in San Pedro, California. She was 97 years old. She lived in San Pedro for 67 years. She was the second oldest of nine children born to Mr. & Mrs. Manual Medeiros, Jr. Evelyn was born on January 7, 1926 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.

Her surviving grandchildren are Daniel Buck Kraft lll, Duane Robert Kraft, James Marciel Sheffield, and Nikki Sheffield Williams. She also leaves behind her younger brother, Manny Medeiros and 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Manual Medeiros, Jr., her husband James Sheffield, her daughter Barbara Jean Kraft, her son James Robert Sheffield, and her grandson Donald Edward Kraft, Jr. as well as seven siblings.

The Visitation and Rosary will be on June 19, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm with the Rosary at 5pm at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275

The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro on June 20, 2023 at 10am. The Graveside Service will immediately follow the Mass at Green Hills Memorial Park.

There will be a reception after the Graveside Service at Evelyn's house. 1261 W. Santa Cruz St, San Pedro, CA, 90732. Everyone is invited to join us in a celebration of Evelyn's life!

Flowers may be sent to Green Hills Memorial Park by June 19, 2023. Cards and monetary donations may be sent to the house.

We would love for everyone to share with us their remembrances, stories and pictures of Evelyn so we can include them in her Memorial Celebration.

Evelyn was a homemaker, almost all of her life. She was caring, attentive, generous, loving. She only gave advice when asked. She and James were the ideal couple. They were united together on most decisions throughout their married life. Their home was always welcoming to family and friends. To say that she will be missed tremendously would be an understatement. Aloha, Evelyn, until we meet again!
