Eugenie Anne Argento Harless
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugenie Anne Harless (nee Argento). A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Jeannie passed away on March 12 at age 52. She was born and raised in San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes, and was a lifelong resident of the Harbor Jeannie was born to Joseph and Eugenia Argento on January 8, 1973. After a long courtship, she was married to Thomas E. Harless on February 14 2015. Jeannie leaves behind two children, sons Thomas, age 21 and Antonio Joseph (AJ) age 19. Jeannie attended Holy Trinity Elementary, Crestwood Street and San Pedro High Schools. She was an avid athlete in her younger and teenage years, excelling at softball and motocross. She spent many years in bobby sox softball, playing at the Pistol Range in San Pedro. She enjoyed her life in San Pedro, making many long time close friendships. They spent many days and sunsets at Royal Palms, which she called the "Coast". She was actively involved in supporting the baseball program at San Pedro High School with a group of many team mothers.
In addition to her husband and sons, Eugenie is survived by her brothers John Argento, 60; Robert (Robbie) Argento, 58 and Joseph (Joey) Argento, 54. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Eugenia, and a brother, Antonio (Tony). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the House of Hope Foundation ( houseofhopesp.org) to a fund established in her name.
