Esther Elizabeth Velarde, the daughter of Jesus and Maria Morales, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2012 at the age of 85. She was born on June 25, 1926 in San Gabriel, California and had been a longtime resident of Torrance, California. Esther is survived by her loving children, Luis (Rosa) Velarde, Darlene Dorothy (David) Lavoie, Kathleen E. (Peter) Ramos; grandchildren, Robert Velarde, Kristina (Chris) Beaman, Scott (Tina) Buck, Randy (Michelle) Roy Jr., Richard (Debra) Roy Sr., D.J. Roy, Kimberly Marie Lavoie, Peter (Vicky) Ramos Jr., David Ramos, Cynthia Rose Ramos; 8 great-grandchildren and sister, Lily (Richard) Lopez.
