Esther D. Ramirez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Esther Dominguez Ramirez, who left us on May 26, 2024 at home of natural causes. Born September 23, 1924 in San Pedro Ca. Our mom served her duty during World War 2 at the age of 19 yrs old by going to work at Todd’s Shipyard as a Ship Fitters Helper building the ventilators from top to bottom for the airplane carriers. Later on in years pass she was honored by our government as a certified Rosie The Riveter. Preceded in death by Parents Epmenio Dominguez (Luz M.) Sister Juanita Alvarez Brother David Dominguez Son Raymond Brady Jr., and survived by Son Frank Avila Daughters Tina Chavez (Javier) Bridgette Tormo (Carlos) Carolyn Moen (Valerie), 7 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Our mother was full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a memorial service will be held in her honor at Green Hills Cemetery in San Pedro June 4 for viewing 4-8 pm June 5 services at 2:00 pm.
